Hello friends,
I hope this message finds you as well as possible, given the state of our world. I hope you’re finding ways to care for yourselves and each other.
I’m excited to share a short film about my exhibition I’m right here with you, on view at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation in St. Louis, MO through July 27. The four-minute film is by artist and filmmaker Bryan Birks and can be seen here.
Guardami come se mi amassi / Look at me like you love me is now on view at Gallerie d’Italia in Milan through October 19. A catalog is available from Allemandi Editore and more installation views are here.
A recent feature in Vogue, To Look with Love, features my exhibition at Gallerie d’Italia alongside an extensive interview about my work and practice. Take a look here.
My work is included in Queer Lens: A History of Photography, on view at the Getty Museum through September 28. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog.
Concurrently, all ten photographs from my Every Breath We Drew portfolio are on view in $3 Bill: Evidence of Queer Lives at the Getty Research Institute.
There are two spots available in my upcoming workshop, The Intimate Portrait (July 21-25), at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center. As an extra bonus, in addition to a week immersed in portraiture, there will be a Summer Series conversation between Catherine Opie and Dawoud Bey and presentations by Shepard Fairey and Trevor Paglen. Please join me!
Thank you, as always, for following along.
In solidarity,
Jess
Jess, what a beautiful film! I am so honored to own one of these works!
Congratulations on being featured at these galleries and in Vogue!
I was just wondering if you have a second workshop planned this year? Thanks a ton!
